However, some positions can specifically heal and cure back pain.

Recovery from yoga

1. The downward-facing dog position

What better position to introduce than a classic yoga position. This position will stretch your body in a way that targets your back extensors. To be more precise, these are the parts of your back that allow you to stand, provide support to your spine, and helps you to lift objects. Try to hold this position while breathing 5 to 10 times then take a rest. You need to do the yoga pose for at least 5 to 7 times to reduce the pain.

2. The child’s pose position

This pose might come to you as a resting position but it lengthens and stretches your back. This makes the position an active one. This position also serves to relieve the stress that you went through the day. Do the said yoga position after taking a short rest after arriving from work and before going to bed to be free from the pain. Hold this position while doing 5 to 10 breaths. You can do this pose as many times as you like until you achieve the comfort that your back needs.

2. The child’s pose position

3. Another yoga pose for back pain is the pigeon pose

This form sounds very elegant like its namesake. However, do not take this position lightly since it can slightly challenge yoga beginners. Also, this position stretches flexors and hip rotators. One might think that the position does not cure back pain but on the contrary, hips contribute to aching backs. Like the positions discussed before this one, you need to hold this position for 5 to 10 breaths before switching to the other side and repeating the process. You can do this pose as many times as you like as well.

Bonus: The triangle pose position

As the name suggests, this yoga position makes you take the form of a triangle and eliminate the pain. It elongates your torso muscles and makes your back stronger. Hence, in this position, the sides of your body are being stretched as well. This stimulates your outer hip since as mentioned earlier, stress on your hips causes back pains as well. You have to hold this position for 5 to 20 breaths then repeat the process on your other side. Repeat this pose as many times as needed.
